Karen Thomas Ritchie was born in Kemp, Texas, on June 1, 1944, and was called home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2026.
She spent her childhood and youth in Texas and later attended East Texas State University to pursue her higher education. Karen later became the branch office administrator for Edward Jones in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
Karen married her beloved husband, Don Ritchie, and together they created countless memories. They began their life together in Dallas, Texas, and later moved to Oologah, Oklahoma, to be closer to family. They enjoyed being involved in their church, traveling together on vacations, and spending time with neighbors and friends in their community.
Karen was a devout woman of faith who shared her love for the Lord with everyone she met. She never hesitated to pray with those who needed encouragement and comfort. She was involved in the church choir and also participated in the children’s bus ministry while living in Dallas, Texas.
Karen spent two wonderful years at Oxford Glen Memory Care, where she continued to make new friends and share the love of Jesus with many people.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Maxey Thompson; and her beloved husband, Don Ritchie.
Karen is survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Thompson; her nieces, Malinda Taylor and Cynthia Kellogg; and their families.
Donations in her memory can be mailed to the Oklahoma Baptist Children’s Home of Owasso at 12700 E. 76th St. North, Owasso, OK 74055
