Judy Kay Baldwin Ashwood passed peacefully from this world at 1:11AM on March 5 th , 2020 in the comfort of her home.
Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Oologah United Methodist Church with Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Oologah.
Judy was born in Oologah, OK to Chester and Ruth Dirickson Baldwin on July 26 th , 1942. She attended Oologah schools where she graduated in 1960. She lived in Ramona, OK for twelve years before being drawn back to Oologah where she became a valuable member of the community. She worked as a Laboratory Technician at PSO until her retirement in 2001, after 22 years. Prior to retiring, she opened a boutique, Maple Street Emporium, and later another, Sally Blanche Antiques. She organized a prominent quilt show, was a founding member of Rambling Rose Garden Club, donated Beanie Babies to Tulsa area children’s hospitals, and helped maintain the beauty of her beloved hometown.
Judy’s life revolved around her beloved husband, Danny, their 5 children, her 9 grandchildren, and growing number of great- grandchildren. One of her many joys was spending time with her treasured sister, Linda. Together they cared for their precious parents Chet and Ruth for over twenty years. To her children and grandchildren she passes on her love of the lake, Canton, TX, junking, decorating, turquoise, and the value of family time whether it be celebrating Christmas or a random Friday night.
Judy is proceeded in death by her grandparents, parents, and brother, Jack.
Judy is survived by her husband, Danny Ashwood, of the home. Her children, Jerry Wright and wife Barbie of Nowata, Kelli Bright and husband Mark of Oologah, Billy Ashwood and wife April of Oologah, Jennifer Fisher of Talala, and Paul Ashwood and wife Lorie of Owasso. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great- Grandchildren. Sister Linda Mattison and husband Glen of Skiatook. And several beloved nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
