Juanita Mae Fielding

Juanita Mae Fielding was born July 3, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Raymond and Gordie Mae (Ray) Crawford. She went into the loving arms of Jesus on January 20, 2021.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Allen Fielding of the home. Also survived by her brother William (Billy) Raymond Crawford, II, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, brother-in-law Al Black, of Tulsa, and Sister-in- law Gay (Fielding) and husband James Stotts, of Owasso.

Four Children: Kimberly Webb, James Fielding, Marc Fielding, and Teresa McClung

Nine grandchildren: Julie (Fielding) Merrill, Shannon (Fielding) O’Neal, Lori (Fielding) Lu, Warren O. Webb, Elizabeth (McClung) West, Samantha (McClung) Gordon, Zacharie McClung, Alexandra (McClung) Woodward, and Quentin McClung, and six great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, her sister Donna Fae (Crawford) Black, and granddaughter Amanda Grace McClung.

Juanita’s first priority was always serving the Lord. A very close second was her favorite title for the last 61 years. Mrs. APF. Being the wife to Allen and mother of their children was a source of pride and joy to her. She always loved children. From her days as a teenager helping with her siblings and teaching a Sunday School class, to becoming the wife and lifelong sweetheart to Allen, then a mother, grandmother, and Gigi. Children never ceased to bring a smile to her face. Even as her life faded, when her grandchildren or great grandchildren entered the room, her face lit up. The only other person to get that reception from her, was her sweetheart, Allen. Up to the end, he made her smile.

She grew up going to Sunday School even when her parents wouldn’t go because they must have known how important a part of her life Jesus would be. That habit, or lifestyle, never changed. Her early married life was on 75 ^th Pl. North in Turley, OK. She stayed at home with all four of her children until she and Allen moved to the small town of Collinsville in 1973.

She started working at the IBEW 584 FCU.  After that, she bought Agape Korner Christian Bookstore, operating it until the late 1980’s. She went back to banking for a few years and then retired to be able to help on more important things like visiting grandkids and mission trips. Mongolia, Mexico, Ethiopia, Venezuela, Haiti, Suriname, are just a few of the places she either sponsored or personally joined on mission work.

She cooked many missions banquet dinners for Church at Claremore through the years. She also enjoyed hosting the OASIS (Older Adults Still In Service) annual dinner at her home in Collinsville. She loved to cook and passed that love down to many of her children and grandchildren.

Through the years, their home hosted many family gatherings, mission families visiting stateside at their local church, and more card games than can be counted. People were always more important than things in her life. Relationships developed from hours spent together with family and friends.

She was active in Girl Scouts when her girls were young, went through Webelos, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, FFA with her boys, and put many hours in with Band Boosters to support her kids while in school.

She always gave of herself. Taking care of her parents and grandparents, her aunt and uncle, and taking meals to senior ladies from church for many years. Again, more relationships grown through time spent together.

She loved going with Allen to Shepherd’s Cross. Again, this was time spent together. Ministering to anyone in her path. There was never a stranger. Just a new friend.

She will be missed greatly by her husband. She was as much a part of his heart as he was of hers. Flirting with her, pinching her and getting “fresh” with her every day.  Even on her last day, he was still kissing on her. And anyone who is their friend will tell you, they were more in love on January 20, 2021 than they were on September 4, 1959 when they married.

Allen and Juanita Fielding – The two became one.
