John William Poole

John William Poole, Sr. of Collinsville, OK passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Tulsa. He was 89. John was born January 13, 1921 in Dewitt, AR to Francis Aubry and Della Louise (Dubbslaff) Poole. He served in the Navy during WWII. Upon his return he became a jack of all trades, but mainly worked as a carpenter until his retirement. He married Annie Jean Fry on November 23, 1952 in Marysville, CA. John and Annie moved to the Collinsville area in 1990 from Rose, OK. He had many hobbies. John loved to build things and carve animals and walking sticks out of wood. He was also a tinkerer and enjoyed working on small engines. He will be missed by many.

John is survived by his wife Annie Jean Poole of the home; his children Sybil A. Bargas and husband Kelly of Tulsa, OK and John William Poole, II and wife Trish of CA; his step-children Ira Gene Casey of CA and Juanita A. Casey of Tulsa; his brother Benny H. Poole of UT; his sister Betty Reeves of CA; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, and 1 brother.
