John Wesley Deramo, 74, of Talala, OK passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Talala, OK. He was born March 9, 1944 in Tulsa, OK to Alexander and Annie (Ford) Deramo. He served in the Army during Vietnam. He married the former Marjorie Martin on July 8, 1968 in Tulsa, OK. He owned and operated his own dump truck for several years before moving to overland trucking. He later worked for Mid Continent Concrete for 15 years, retiring after 15 years. In retirement, he delivered parts part-time for Lambert’s Auto Salvage. He was an avid Jeff Gordon fan and loved hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Harbor Church in Oologah, OK with Rev. Brett Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Wann Cemetery in Oologah.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Deramo of the home. 4 children: Stacie Deramo of Tulsa, Julie Jensen and her husband Alex of Tulsa, John Deramo, Jr. of Talala and Bethany Deramo of Tulsa. 1 granddaughter: Annlee Jensen. He is also survived by 1 brother: Douglas Deramo and his wife Wanda of Ringwood, OK.
He is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Joyce Johnson and Naomi Mattheyer, 4 brothers: David Deramo, Lloyd Deramo, Sam Deramo and Bill Deramo.
