Jimmy Ray Hayes

Jimmy Ray Hayes of Collinsville Oklahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in Tulsa's St. Johns Hospital from a sudden illness.
Ray, as he was know to his friends, was born on August 25, 1952, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to William Arthur and Mildred Louise (Ellis) Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and Danny Hayes.
Ray attended school in Collinsville, Oklahoma, then went on to work as “Plant Manager” at Special Service in Tulsa Oklahoma for 30 years.
He married Vicki Anna Buford in Miami, Oklahoma on Oct. 8, 1976, who survives him of the home; two sons, Brady Hayes of Collinsville; Christopher Hayes of Texarkana, Tx. and two loving loyal companions, his dogs, Lonesome and Ghost.
Other survivors include six brothers: David Hayes and wife, Kay, of Claremore, Ok.; Gerald Hayes and wife, Debbie, of Federal Way, Washington; Larry Hayes of Collinsville, Ok.; Lyndsey Hayes and wife, Mary, of Owasso, Ok.; Lonnie Hayes of Collinsville,Ok.; Rodger Hayes and wife, Tammy, of Collinsville, Ok.; four sisters: Sharron Ramsey and husband, Fred, of Collinsville, Ok.; Patsy Gaither of Skiatook, Ok.; Denise Purcell and husband, Vince, of Talala, Ok.
Additional Survivors include, Georgia Hayes of Oologah,Ok.; Joyce Buford of Grove,Ok.; Gene and Lynn Buford of Portland, Oregon; Bill and Lynn Buford of Portland Oregon; and a very special friend Sylvia Space of Vera, Ok.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Sligar, Paul Menafee, Coye Thompson, Mike Coe, Dennis Hayes, and Eddy Sharpe.


Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2009 at the Assembly of God Church in Oologah, OK with Rev. Kevin T. Coe officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakhill Cemetery in Oologah.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2009 and 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2009 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
