Jimmy Howard Atkins

Jimmy Howard Atkins, 81, of Collinsville, OK passed away July 30, 2020 in Claremore, OK. He was born in Catoosa, OK to John Atkins and the former Hanna Parham. He had lived in Collinsville for the last 6 years having moved from Tulsa. He was a member of the Gene Autry Masonic Lodge #185 in Catoosa.  He worked at Reasor’s Grocery Store for over 10 years in Customer Service. He was a member of the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene. He was also an Army Veteran.

Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Tim Odom officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa, OK.

He is survived by his daughter: Melissa Andrews and her husband Bill of Collinsville. 3 grandchildren: Amber Andrews of Collinsville, Matthew Andrews of Collinsville and Jennifer Riley and her husband Rusty of Oologah and 2 great-grandchildren: Brandon Warren and Augustus Riley.

He is preceded in death by 1 son: Jimmy Atkins, Jr. and all of his siblings. Willard, Alfred, Johnny, George, Carson, Ralph and Doris.

Funeral services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
