Jerry Barnes Mccoy

Jerry Barnes McCoy, 72, of Sperry, OK passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Jerry was born on July 28, 1945 to Orbie and Phema (Barnes) McCoy in Bakersfield, CA. The family returned to Oklahoma where Jerry resided all his life. Jerry married Shirley Smith in Tulsa on July 28, 1963 and together they raised three children. He was a welder by trade and worked many years in construction. Jerry owned his own businesses, Jerry McCoy Welding and Custom Steel Buildings, and was proud of the work he did. Faith played a big part in Jerry’s life. He was a member of Victory Christian Church for over 30 years and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years. He will be missed dearly.

Jerry is survived by his wife Shirley McCoy of the home; his children, Daniel Max McCoy, Jara Kay McCoy, and Johnny Barnes McCoy; and a host of extended family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.

Visitation for Jerry will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2018 at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Jerry will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at A Glorious Church Fellowship in Collinsville. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111, www.collinsvillefh.com.
