Jerry Leroy Ehrcke, 45, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away June 13, 2009. He was born April 13, 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Wolfgang Guenther Ehrcke and Dorothy Lee (Barger) Ehrcke. He was a 1982 graduate of Oologah High School in Oologah, Oklahoma and served in the United States Air Force from 1982-2008. During that time he was stationed in Japan for ten years and participated in Desert Storm and the Iraq War. He was awarded the rank of Master Sergeant and last served with the 61st Squadron at Little Rock Air Force Base, flying C-130 cargo planes, before retiring September 1, 2008. After retiring he was employed at Magic Lube in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He enjoyed working with computers and helping coach his youngest daughter’s soccer and softball teams. He was proceeded in death by his father, Wolfgang and is survived by one son, Cassidy Jerry Ehrcke of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Rachel Lee Ehrcke of Cabot, AR and Quanlathia Ehrcke of Jacksonville, AR; one granddaughter, Lilly Halliburton of OK; mother, Dorothy; two sisters, Marie Caffey Hoss and her husband Mark, and Angela Baden and her husband John III; two nieces; two nephews; and two great nephews, all of Oologah, OK. Graveside Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK with Rev. Lester Orwig officiating. Visitation will be Friday and Saturday at the Oologah Dolton Funeral Home.
