Jerry F. Downing

Jerry F. Downing of Owasso passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. He was 73. Jerry was born March 21, 1939 in Barnsdall, OK to Charles and Ruby (Baldwin) Downing. He served his country in the Army. Jerry was a truck driver for many years and also owned an automotive store in Pawhuska. He then became a driver for Brinks Armored Car Service until his retirement. He has lived in the Owasso area for the last 15 years having moved from Pawhuska. He will be missed by many.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Debra Hair and husband Dennis of Ft. Worth, TX and Cindy Murphy and husband Patrick of Collinsville; 5 Grandchildren, Christopher and Danielle Tibbits, Jacob, Austin, and Grace Murphy; 5 siblings, Charles Downing, Jr., Carnita Garroutte, Violet Bartee, Carlotta Hoskins, and Ollive Short; and a host of family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jonyce Lee Downing. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Therese Parish Cemetery in Collinsville.
