Jensen Duce McLaughlin, age 3, was born on January 21, 2023, and passed away on July 3, 2026.
Though his time with us was far too short, Jensen filled every day with laughter, curiosity, and endless love. His bright eyes, mischievous smile and joyful laugh reminded us all to find wonder in the little things.
Jensen loved race cars, dinosaurs, space, and everything about airplanes. At heart, he was a little cowboy who was happiest exploring the world around him. He loved riding his mom's barrel horse, Duce, the horse from whom he proudly got his middle name. He found happiness in simple adventures from kayaking with the "boys" and spending days on the boat with his family to learning the joys of ranch life alongside Dustin. One of his favorite things was dancing with his "boys" to Right Foot Creep. None of them really knew the words, but that never mattered—they loved the beat, the laughter, and making memories together.
He treasured riding around on the four-wheeler with his Papa Rick and spending time in the garage or watching airplanes with his Papa Brandon. Those moments will forever be cherished memories for all who were lucky enough to share them with him.
Jensen also shared a special bond with his faithful dog, Niko, who was never far from his side, always his constant and loyal companion.
Jensen leaves behind his loving mother, Julia McLaughlin, and her partner, Dustin Weaver; his beloved "boys", Drake and Coy Weaver; his grandparents, Brandon and Kathy McLaughlin, Memaw April Montgomery, PePaw Jason Branham, and Harold and Jeri Wicker; his great-grandfathers, Rick McLaughlin and Pat Murray; his great-grandmothers, Regina Ivy and Memaw Brenda Conley; his aunts, Marley McLaughlin, Katie McLaughlin, Kennedy Weaver, and Rae'lynn Willis; his uncles, Mason McLaughlin, Caylum Weaver, and AJ Willis; his special friends, Emily Carrell and "Grandpa" Jake McGuire; along with many loving extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every smile, every hug, every laugh, and every precious moment Jensen gave us. We find comfort in knowing he was met at Heaven's gate by his Grandma, Brenda McLaughlin. His love, adventurous spirit, and bright light will remain with us always. He will forever be our little cowboy, forever loved, and forever missed.
Funeral services celebrating Jensen’s life will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Oologah First Baptist Church, 105 S. Pine Street, Oologah, Oklahoma 74053.
