Jean Ellen Smith

JEAN SMITH- Passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the age of 97. She was born March 6, 1926, in Ponca City, OK to W.H. (Pat) and Donna (Husted) Patterson. A longtime resident of Oologah, Jean was an owner operator of a beauty salon and worked as a Librarian into her 90s. Jean had a passion for art, quilting and reading.

She was preceded by her parents W.H. (Pat) and Donna Patterson, and Sister, Patricia Henshaw and Niece, Sandra and granddaughter Regan.

Jean is survived by two daughters Dana Fox and Linda Fisher, son in law Patrick Fisher, Niece, Sharon (Juan) Leon, as well as grandchildren: Chris, Tiffany, Naomi and Ryan.

Services will be held graveside on July 5, 2023 at 10:30 am in Talala Fairview Cemetery, ( 315 N Mulberry St, Talala, OK 74080), with Rev. Lester Orwig Officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
