James L. Sparks

SPARKS, JAMES L. - age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at National Healthcare Center of Knoxville. Mr. Sparks was a member of Woodlawn Assembly of God (Evangel Temple.) He was a retired draftsman having been employed by TVA, was a lifetime member of the Downtown Lions Club and was a member of Cherokee Masonic Lodge #728 F&AM. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Bob Beninger of Coco, FL; son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Drusilla Sparks of Knoxville; grandson, Justin; half brother, Joe Sparks of CA. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel conducted by Cherokee Lodge #728 F&AM with a funeral service to follow with Reverend Bob Beninger officiating.
