James Willie Dickey went to be with the Lord March 21, 2014. He passed at his home in his sleep. James was born January 3, 1932 in the small town of Bass Arkansas to Bertha and George Dickey.
He was survived by his two Children Roy Dickey and Diana Newton. 6 Grandchildren Daryl Newton, Jamie Bryan, Petra Davis , Cheryl Williams, Carrie Warren and Cody Dickey. 17 precious great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren. They all loved and respected their Dad and Papa.
James had a close relationship with his daughter-in-law Lisa and his Grandson-in-laws, Jeremiah Williams, Red Warren, Scott Bryan & Jed Davis. Also his granddaughter-in-law B.J. Newton.
James grew up in a simple, hard-working home with his brother Leon and loving parents. His humble beginnings taught him many skills that served him his whole life. Mostly common sense, work ethic and a "love of life".
He met and married the love of his life Sue in Rural Oklahoma in 1949. Sue was his best friend. They were a special amazing couple. James always said he was blessed!
James sold his long-time business of "Dickey's Auto Supply" in 1977.
James was a special man, wonderful father, grandfather & great grandfather. Family was a priority to him! He was a man of amazing ethics, morals and standards.
James enjoyed his garden, was an avid fishermen & great story teller!
He always enjoyed good food especially from his garden. He equally enjoyed giving much of it away to family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents George and Bertha, brother Leon & precious wife Sue.
James Willie Dickey was "One of a kind" he will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his family and many friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel.
