James Chester “Jim” Davis passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. Jim was 77.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., at the Collinsville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Yandell officiating.
Jim was born on April 2, 1943 in Faith, SD to Eugene and Helen (Sandidge) Davis. He later moved to Oklahoma, and in 1961 he enlisted in the Army. He served his country for 3 years before being honorably discharged. Jim married Judy Young on January 22, 1971 in Tulsa. They moved to Collinsville over 20 years ago. He worked as a mechanic, but was best known as the owner of Cardinal Car Wash. He owned the business for 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
Jim is survived by his wife Judy Davis of the home; his children, Jimmy Davis and wife Beth, and Denise Lowry and husband Mike; his sister, Sharon Ashford and husband Lynn; 4 grandchildren, Megan Smith, Melissa Lowry, Colby Davis, and Tyler Davis; and a host of extended family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Dee Davis and Helen Anita Davis Baker; 4 siblings, Russell Davis, Norma Jean Woodside, Donnie Baker and Ula Rae Baker.
