Jackie Taile

July 5, 1944 — December 16, 2023

Mary Jacklyn “Jackie” Larrimore Taile was born in New Bern, North Carolina on July 5th, 1944, to her Parents Julius Monroe Larrimore and Mary Jane Owens Larrimore.

Miss. Jackie met and married the love of her life, Charles “Charlie” Taile in 1962, in Anamosa Iowa. They lived a short while in Idaho but made their home in Collinsville Oklahoma.

Miss Jackie Taile; Oklahoma is where she called home, but you could travel to any state, and someone would run up hollering “Miss. Jackie” as they swooped in for a big ol’ hug. “Her kids” were everywhere and they all loved her dearly and beyond measure. A true staple in Collinsville, Miss. Jackie worked for the Collinsville public schools for 40 years. She was a firecracker and would keep the kids in line, helping to raise many and each of them felt at home and safe in her presence.

Miss. Jackie entertained many as a witch on Halloween for years and always loved to treat the kids with a scare…

Miss. Jackie loved sports, especially football and could raise the roof in her living room screaming “GO EMMITT!!!” She loved sitting in the stands attending the games of first her daughters, then her grandchildren as they played and there was no mistaking her holler. Miss. Jackie cheered for everyone and was so proud of her family’s success as well as the success of everyone she knew.

Miss. Jackie loved to bring everyone together for games, LCR, Bunco, spoons, BINGO, a hand of Kings Corners or a quick run to the Casino.

Miss. Jackie was an amazing cook and made a mean pan of enchiladas. She loved home cooking and would never pass up a good Iowa tenderloin.

Miss. Jackie was a pillar in our community who was selfless and devoted to many organizations. As a member First Baptist Church of Collinsville and Eastern Stars where she guided, nurtured and helped to develop the talent of many…

Miss. Jackie is survived by her 3 beautiful daughters, Shawna, (Sylvester) Toler, Alesia, (Chris) Saxon, Charla Kerns, her grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob, Madison, Blaine, great-grandchildren Kaden, Koda, Ryker, Jarrett, Tatum, Emma, Nora, Eloise. She is also survived by her brother Joe (Shirley) Larrimore of Marion, Iowa, a brother Dan (Tracy) Larrimore of Springville, Iowa, Dan and Tracy’s son Nathan Osterkamp of the Bahamas, a sister Marie (Ron) Tingwald of Holister, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Trudy and Cynthia, a brother Ricky, her son-in-law Daniel Kerns, and her beloved husband Charlie.

Miss. Jackie’s love of God and her willingness to share His Word was unmatched… when she would speak of the Lord, she would say “You better believe it” when she heard someone say what a “Mighty Lord we serve!”

She is with Him and she is with Charlie and she would follow him anywhere he would lead her. Now he has taken her hand again and lead her home to Jesus.
