Jackie Dean Clapp, 75, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. His date of birth was November 29, 1946. He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1965.
A lot of good musicians came out of Collinsville and Oologah during the 1960’s. Jackie played the Hammond Organ for the band “Felix and the Cats”. It was a Legendary act when he performed “I Feel Good” by James Brown.
He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve National Guard in 1972.
He was a machinist for Woods Precision Products until his retirement in 2017.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Helen (Gilliland) Clapp and nephews: Bruce and Jackie Wayne Clapp and Aric Clapp, nieces: Erica and Husband Glen Rush and Jessie Clapp and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dorothy (Ashlock) Clapp and his brother: Kenneth and wife Lou Clapp.

Viewing will be Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville at 2:00 PM.
Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bruce Clapp, Jackie Wayne Clapp, Paul Owens, Brad Webb, Felix Keith, Eddie Boyd, Charlie Davis, Vern Landers, Billy Clark and Dean Clark.
