Hugh “Wayne” Dunn, 61 of Tulsa, Ok passed away Monday, September 22, 2008. Wayne was born in Hominy, Ok. to William Monroe Dunn and Esther “Juanita” (Bowers) Dunn on October 14, 1946. He had resided in Tulsa since 1964 but had lived and still had many friends and family in both Hominy.Ok. and West Plains, Mo. He was known by everyone as “Mr. Wayne” from his life long career as a barber, as well as owning and operating many barber shops and hair salons such as “Scissors” in Tulsa, Ok.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lorie Dunn. His daughter, Kristi and husband, Terry Reed of Collinsville, Ok. Stepson, Bob and wife, Sherry Wright of Mannford, Ok. Stepdaughter, Kelly and husband, Dorn Heller of Catoosa, Ok. He had 7 grandchildren: Tyelor, Chelsea, Parker, Zach, Kasey, Dana and Ashley. One great-grandson, Caden.
Memorial services will be 10:00am, Monday, September 29, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Collinsville, Ok. with Dr. Prock Officiating.
