Helen Joyce Hamby

Helen Joyce Hamby, 74, of Talala, OK passed away, Monday, November 9, 2009 in Tulsa, OK. She was born July 18, 1935 at home near Owasso, OK to Hubert Pondcreek Bowman and Ruth Eggers Bowman. She moved to the rural Talala area at the age of 7 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jess of the home. 3 Daughters: Carlene Kittrell and her husband David of Talala, Ok, Shirlene Watashe and her husband Charles of Talala, OK, and Paulette Griffin and her husband Dennis of Adair, OK. 5 Grandchildren: Sheila Parker of Talala, Amy Bailey of Owasso, Dawn Gray of Talala, Josh Kittrell of Collinsville, Lindsay Johnson of Edmond, OK, and 13 great-grandchildren. 2 sisters: Oweetah Stephens of Portland, TN and Huberta Wickham of Twin Falls, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova, OK with Bro: Joe Goodin and Bro: Phil Platner officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK.
Visitation will be Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
