Hazel Darlene Troutman Burgin

Hazel Darlene Troutman Burgin of Collinsville, OK, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009 in Owasso. She was 98. Hazel was born September 22, 1910 in Shenandoah, IA to George and Harriet Troutman. She moved to Oklahoma from Iowa in 1920. She has lived in the Collinsville area since the 50’s. She was married to William Roy Burgin until his death in 1974. Hazel was the third of 11 children. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and puzzles, especially crosswords. She will be missed by many.

Hazel is survived by 2 children, Leroy Burgin of Tulsa and Delores Bewley and her husband John of Collinsville; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Harriet Troutman, her husband, William Roy Burgin, and 10 siblings.

Visitation for Hazel will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Helmer Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
