Harold Orvin Green

Harold Orvin Green of Oologah, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home. He was 80. Harold was born on September 26, 1938 in Marysville, CA to Orvin and Elsie (Richey) Green.

Visitation for Harold will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Oologah Assembly of God Church with Chaplain Randall Holmes officiating. Services will conclude at the church following the Military Honors.

Harold served his country for four years in the Navy and was proud of his service. He married Janelle Wright and they were married for 56 years. They have lived in Oologah for the last 35 years having moved from Owasso. Harold was known to be a workaholic and continued working into his 70’s, retiring from HTE as a machinist. He had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed taking care of his chickens, turkeys, and goats. He also loved mowing and gardening. Harold did woodworking as a hobby and liked to build things. He loved his truck and was known to go out to sit in it with the heater on, just to get warm. Harold was a very loving and goodhearted man who was always there when one needed him. He will be missed by many.

Harold is survived by his wife Janelle Green of the home; 6 children, Deborah Henke and Steve of Elk City, Kimberly Bigelow and Roy of Tulsa, Kelli Botts and Johnny of Oologah, Suzanne Hill and John of Chelsea, and Jaynie Cooper and Brittany of Grove, and Chandler Lankford of the home; his siblings Patrick Green, Richard Green, and JoAnn Moss; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; 3 children, Dana Dea Green, Michael Orvin Green, and Dawn Lea Blades; and his great grandchild, Zaydon Smith.
