Glenda Mae Terrill

Glenda Mae Terrill, 87, of Collinsville, OK passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 in Collinsville. She was born November 29, 1933 in Tulsa, OK to Floyd A. Thornton and Merle Walker Thornton. She had lived in Collinsville since 1996 having moved from Tulsa. She grew up in Turley, OK and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. She retired from H & R Block and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Owasso. Glenda was known as a Mama, Sister,  an Aunt, but to many as "Mamaw". She made the best Birthday cakes, and there was no design that she could not tackle.

Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Mills officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery.

She is survived by 2 children: Phyllis Coleman and her husband Grady of Collinsville and Allen Terrill and his wife Summer of Collinsville, 3 grandchildren and their spouses ,who were also her grandkids: Jennifer and Don McCreary of Skiatook, Patrick and LeiLona Coleman of Skiatook, and Josh Terrill of Tulsa, 3 brothers: Wayne Thornton and his wife Mary Ann of Collinsville, Jimmy Thornton and his wife Karen of Prattville, OK, and Johnny Thornton of Tulsa, 2 sisters: Norma Crockett of Tulsa and Diane Hixson and her husband Edd of Tulsa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James “Jimmy” Terrill and 2 brothers: Billy and Robert Thornton.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
