Gladys Jessie Clifton

Gladys Morris Clifton, 93, of Collinsville, OK passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 in Owasso, OK. She was born May 17, 1915 in Sallisaw, OK to Cleve and Jewell (Bell) McMurtrey. She had lived most of her life in this area and was a Librarian for many years in Collinsville and Tulsa. She had been very active in politics as a volunteer.
She is survived by 5 Children: Wilma Smaligo and husband John of Collinsville, OK, Michael Morris and Wife Beverly of Ripley, OK, Roy Morris of Spavinaw, OK, Margaret Gaylord and husband Grady of Collinsville, OK, and Linda Dixon and her husband Rick of Glenpool. 1 Brother: John McMurtrey and his wife Evelyn of Tulsa, OK and 13 Grand Children and numerous Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband’s: Leonard Mike Morris and Glenn Clifton, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Stacy Gaylord officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
