George W. Francis

George Wilgus Francis of Owasso, passed away June 14, 2011 in Collinsville. He was 69. George was born March 27, 1942 in Grove, OK to Ralph Dexter and Ella Belle (Markle) Francis. He married Pauline Jo Beaver on June 5, 1964 in Anderson, MO. Together they raised 3 children. George worked as a Computer Analyst for Amoco until his retirement. He enjoyed playing the guitar, writing gospel songs, and working in his vegetable garden. He also taught Photoshop and Graphic Design at the Tulsa Tech Lemley Campus.

George is survived by his wife Jo of the home; 3 children, Kevin Francis and wife Julie, Gregory Francis and wife Michele, and Betsy Anderson and husband Jeff; 1 sister, Joan Pendleton; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jesse, and Jewel Beth Anderson, Austin, Ashtin, Alex, Lawrence, and Ethan Francis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for George will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 at Hope Chapel Owasso, 11400 E 116th St North. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
