Freddie Raymond Bauer

Freddie Raymond Bauer passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in Talala, Oklahoma. He was born to Eva and Edward Bauer on July 31, 1934, in Grove. Freddie married Carol June Caudill April 17, 1952. He traveled as a pipeliner throughout the United States. He was talented welder and mechanic. Freddie was a welder for North American Rockwell Boeing and welded on several space projects, one of which is still on the moon. He served several terms on the board for Rural Water District #4. He was a Mason and a member of the Sunrise Lodge in Ramona. He held a 32nd degree Scottish Rite for 34 years. He was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova. He had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed working on them and going to car shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers—Martin and Jackie, and two great grandsons—Avery and Ethan Ross. In addition his wife of 58 years, he is survived by four sons and one daughter, Steve and Trish Bauer of Owasso, Donnie and Denise Bauer of Tulsa, Leon and Bev Bauer of Dallas, Brenda and Rick McLaughlin of Oologah, and Mike and Zoe Bauer of Nowata.
He was a beloved grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Freddie is also survived by one sister and one brother, Wanda Caudill of Kansas and Elvin Bauer of Missouri.
In addition to his family, he is survived by two dear friends, Melvin Breckenridge and Roger Holden.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Inola, OK with Pastor Joe Goodin and Pastor Blake Gideon officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Olympia Cemetery in Grove, OK. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
