Red was born June 16, 1947 in Tulsa, OK. to Nora Bell and Floyd Seratte Sr. He graduated from high school in 1966 from McClain high school in Tulsa. Then soon after high school he joined the U.S. Army where he went to boot camp at Ft. Polk, La., he was then shipped to Vietnam, where he served his country for three years. While in Vietnam he served in the 4 th battalion , 8 th infantry.

When returning from Vietnam he worked several jobs to make ends meet, including reading water meters and working at a gas station, until finally landing a job at Sun Oil Refinery. Where he worked for 25 years eventually becoming a welder. He retired in 2000, to play with the grandkids and drive his wife crazy.

A few months before being Honorably discharged he met Margaret Silcox-Chambers for a blind date. Soon they fell in love and was married on April 3, 1969, and resided at Ft. Hood, Tx. Until his time was served in the Army.

Upon returning back to Tulsa, they learned of the arrival of the first child Rusty, and not to long later their daughter Cindy.

The entire family moved to Oologah in 1977 where he lived for the rest of his life. He attended Oologah Assembly of God for over 40 years, and served God, His Family, and Church with his whole heart.

He was a big fan of Mustang football, and cheered at nearly every football game for the next 40 plus years. He was often heard on the game videos shooting his favorite sayings, such as “Hit Some Body” , and “Lets Go Blue”, in his deepest voice.

He loved Royal Rangers and in particular FCF with a crazy passion that only God could give him. He wanted every little boy or child to know that Jesus loved them, and cared for them.

He survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret, his son Rusty and wife Jaylene, and his daughter Cindy Williamson. Also, his grandchildren Whitley, Austin, Wyatt, Brycelynn, Jaquea, Tallie, and Aubrielle, then Great Grandchildren Bryce, Brantley, Ayannah, and Crew, with Baby Nova Grace to arrive in January. He also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins that brightened his day, some by blood and some by choice.

The family would like to acknowledge all the support they received from the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Claremore Veterans Home, for all of their hard work for Red and all military veterans.
