Florence Catherine Dickerson

Florence Catherine Dickerson, 85, resident of Collinsville, OK since 1973, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Tulsa, OK. She was born February 9, 1937, in Orwell, OH to Paul Cook and the former Janet Tucker. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville where she kept records for the Sunday School, and helped with AWANA’s and Vacation Bible School. She worked for Bryan’s Infant Wear and Valhoma Industries.

Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Monday, September 5, 2022, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Dr. Tim Prock officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery.

She is survived by 5 children: Cindy Shelton and her husband Keith of Springfield, MO, Khali Thorne of Tulsa, Derryl Dickerson, Jr. and his wife Mary of Owasso, Brenda Byrum of Collinsville and Greg Dickerson and his wife Elisha of Sperry, OK. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Derryl Dickerson, Sr., her parents and 1 sister: Carolyn Harden.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
