Eva Marie Fisher

Eva Mae Fisher, fondly known for her contagions smile and love for her family, passed away September 19, 2026, surrounded by her cherished children Mike, Vince, and Kristy. She was born September 17, 1941, to Claude Ray Tackett and Erma Jean Lynch. They lived on a small dairy farm on the south side of Owasso, before moving to another dairy farm in Skiatook. They later settled down in Collinsville, Oklahoma where she met her husband Ben Fisher and was later married on February 8, 1963. Together they had 4 beautiful sons, Mike, Johnny, Ronnie and Vince.

Eva was a born caregiver. She was a retired nurse from St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa who truly found joy in caring for her patients. Her compassion and nurturing spirit extended far beyond her nursing career, evident in the way she continued to care for her family and friends. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offering her time, love, and support in whatever way was needed.

Eva also had such a love for animals. She was known for always taking care of the animals the boys brought home, as well as the many stray cats that would find their way to her house. We knew it wouldn’t be long before she would start bringing them inside, loving them, and making them her babies. She not only cared for her own animals, but every night, she would make sure to call or text Vince—not only to tell him how much she loved him and Kristy, but also to make sure they gave their babies some sugars for her.

There was nothing more important to Eva than her faith, her family, and her friends. She was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived her life as an example of what it means to be a Christian woman, faithfully waiting for the day God would call her home.

Eva lived her life through faith, trusting that when troubles came, all she needed to do was pray, place them in God’s hands, and trust that He would take care of them. Her faith was not just something she spoke about, it was something she lived every day.

She was a second mom and grandma to so many people. Her family and friends always knew they could depend on Eva whenever they needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply a shoulder to lean on. She was there when people needed her, offering love, comfort, encouragement, and a prayer when it was needed most. Eva’s faith and her love for others was a beautiful reflection of the woman she was and the life she lived.

Eva was proceeded in death by her parents Claude and Erma Tackett, her husband Ben Fisher, her two sons Johnny Fisher and Ronnie Fisher. Her sister and brother-in-law Fern and Jack Young, and nieces Donna Coen and Ramona Young.

Eva is survived by her sons Michael Fisher and Vince Fisher and his wife Kristy, sisters-in-law Lee Smith, Janet Lewis, and Ruthy Almond. Her Nephews Bryan Young, Russell Young and wife Mary, John Coen, her four fur babies, Mya, Natasha, Ella, and Cali, and a host of family and friends.
