Gene Hall, I would have called him Ernest but I wanted him and everyone else to know who I was talking about, was born Feb. 2, 1947, in Muldrow, Ok unless you ask Grandma Wilson who says it was Ft. Smith, AR. He loved basketball as a youth and fell in love with his lifetime sweetheart and married her at 18 years old on Feb. 13, 1965. Did you get that? 18 years old by 1 day, hmmmm. He and Roseana made their home in Tulsa, OK where they had 3 daughters, Laura, Valerie and Trinity. Gene spent most of his years as a tile setter and in his spare time he was a coach and 2nd father to many. His biggest love was God, followed very closely by his wife Roseana, then his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and Roseana moved to Talala, OK in 2004 and he became an active member here at this church which was then known as Liberty Freewill Baptist. He was approached about becoming an elder and accepted that role and lived it out until his passing on Dec. 2nd, 2018 at 5:30am with his loving wife at his side holding his hand. He is preceeded in death by his father and mother, Ernest Hall and Laura Wilson Hall, and siblings, Paulene Long, Frank Hall, Ruby Nolan, Ann Brasuell, Oscar Hall, John Hall and Jackie Lee Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Roseana Hall of Talala, Brother, William Hall of Tulsa, daughters, Laura Frick and her husband Dan of Talala, Valerie Owens and her husband Joe of Owasso and Trinity Foreman and her husband Michael of Tulsa. He leaves 6 grandchildren: Gregory Woods and wife Julia of Talala, Heather Price and her husband Marty of Oologah, Eric Wallace, Alex Frick, Chris Frick, Brandon Murphy and soon to be, Joseph Foreman, which was a surprise to him the day before his passing and one he thought he would never get to see. Great grandchildren: Chloe Woods, Hailey Woods, Gunner Price, Laynee Price, Gage Woods, Kynlee Wallace, Aria Woods, and Kelton Price.
The family would like to remind everyone of 1 Thessolonians 4:13-18. It says we do not suffer as those who have no hope. We will be together again. We should comfort one another with these words.
