Edward "Buck" Roller

Edward L. “Buck” Roller, 77, of Collinsville passed away February 1, 2011 in Claremore, OK. Buck was born June 9, 1933 in Yates Center, KS to Clarence and Opal (Blevins) Roller. He served in the Air Force from August of 1951 to May of 1955. During his service he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Buck married Shirley Ann (Hoffman) Roller on March 31, 1956 in Claremore. He worked for many years as a butcher and then a truck driver for Tulsa Express Meat Co until his retirement. His retirement job was working for Wal-Mart as a door greeter. He enjoyed spending time with his family who will miss him dearly.

Buck is survived by his daughters, Edwina Roller of Sperry and Annette Smith and her husband, Devon of Owasso; his sisters, Maxine Forrest and Julie Smith; his grandsons, Micah Smith and Levi Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five siblings, and his son Edward Lee, Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. that evening.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Reverend Devon Smith officiating. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com
