Edward Joseph Peak

Edward Joseph Peak, age 67, of Collinsville, Oklahoma died on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born on December 8 ^th , 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Benedict “Benny” Peak and Teresa Marie Peak (Balfay). He graduated from Lenepah High School in 1972. He entered the sheet metal trade and was a member of Sheet Metal Union Local 270 in Tulsa for nearly 50 years. After he retired from the trade, he drove a truck for SMG until recently.

In 1976, he married the love of his life, Linda Faye Peak (Gorby). They made their home in Collinsville, Oklahoma. They had three children, Josh, Phillip and Greg. Ed enjoyed going to his childrens’ activities. He introduced his children to the sport of wrestling and would attend many of the wrestling tournaments and matches through the years. He also enjoyed going to estate sales, the races, and spending time with Linda. After becoming empty nesters, Ed and Linda enjoyed taking day trips and finding good restaurants to eat. They liked to travel to Branson, Missouri and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Ed enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities as well. He was a faithful member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church and later on St. Therese Catholic Church.

Edward is survived by his children, Josh with his wife Jesse of Tulsa, Phillip with his fiancé Andrea Walker of Collinsville, and Greg with wife Chera of Broken Arrow; grandsons Rhett, Jude, Parker, and Axel; granddaughters Blair, Alexandria, and Falinn; brothers Jerry Peak of Catoosa, Kenny Peak of Delaware, and sister Connie Jones, of Nowata.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Linda Peak in 2020, father, Benny Peak, mother Teresa Peak, Father in Law Kenneth Gorby and Mother in Law Hilta Gorby.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the St. Therese Catholic Church in Collinsville, Oklahoma with Father Ernesto Cavillo officiating. Services are entrusted to Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
