Edward Odell Gilley

Edward Odell Gilley, 76, of Talala, OK passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 in Talala, OK. He was born October 31, 1932 in Hannah, OK to Waymon Odell and Wilma (Switchner) Gilley. He married Betty Eledge June 6, 1953 in Vernon, TX. He attended the First Christian Church of Vera. He had lived in this area since 1965.
He is survived by his wife Betty of the home, 1 daughter: Shirley Gilley of Talala, OK. 3 Brothers: Bob Gilley of Altus, Ok, Bill Gilley and his wife Patsy of Skiatook, Ok and Johnny Gilley of Prue, OK. 1 sister: Sue Fike and her husband Reg of Yukin, OK. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter: Janis Gilley, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., July 9, 2009 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery with Rev. Bill Lawrence and Rev. Don Hannon officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Brad Jackson, Ricky Gilley, Rudy Heaton, Kenneth Heaton, Brian Heaton and Reg Fike. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
