Earl Lewis Hobbs of Collinsville passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Tulsa, OK. He was 68. Earl was born March 10, 1942 to Raymond and Hazel Louise Hobbs in Salina, OK. He moved to Collinsville from Salina and spent most of his life here. He served in the Air Force after high school and was proud to serve his country. He was a union member of the United Steel Workers of America Local #09368. Earl worked as a steel worker for Erlanger Tubular until his retirement. His greatest hobby was fishing which he did as much as possible. He was loved by his family and will be missed dearly.
Earl Lewis Hobbs is survived by 2 children, his son Lewis W. Hobbs of Collinsville and his daughter Reba L. Shannon and her husband Skip of Owasso; 4 brothers, Harold David Hobbs of Claremore, Philip Lester Hobbs of CA, Ronald King of TX, and Tommy Hobbs of Oklahoma; 4 sisters, Arlene Trotter, Shirley Goodpasture, Catherine Johnson, and Jackie Best all of Hennessey; 2 grandchildren, Michael King and Skip Shannon, Jr.; 2 great grandchildren, Caitlyn King and Lilly King; his first wife Nora Hobbs; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Earl was preceded in death by his second wife Donna Hobbs and his brother Edward King.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sirmon officiating.
