Dora Lee Fritz

Dora Lee Fritz, age 90, wife of the late K. R. (Ken) Fritz and mother of Sherry Kennedy and Tony Fritz, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 in Owasso after a long illness.

Born August 23, 1931, in Stroud, Oklahoma to Aven O. Farrow and Hazel( Peyton) Farrow.  She is survived by her children, Sherry (Daniel) and Tony (Silvia), four grandchildren, Rachel Fritz-Kapuchuck (Nathan), Oklahoma City, OK, Andre’ Gandelman (Laura), Sao Paulo, Brazil, Jared Kennedy (Mayra), Sequin, TX, and Shawn Kennedy (Jacqui), Calgary, Canada. Great-grandchildren include; Bryce Fritz, Natalie Kapuchuck, Maria Clara and Elesa Gandelman, Danielle and Edna Kennedy, and Madeline Kennedy.

Ms. Dora Lee grew up in Oklahoma. She attended Shidler, OK high school and attended the Tulsa Draughn’s School of Business. and graduated with honors then immediately accepted a position with Farmer’s Insurance.  She married Kenneth Fritz on August 19, 1950.  She partnered with him through many family businesses as the Office Manager and accountant.  She is also retired from Phillips Petroleum, as an accountant. They were married 68 years.

She was active in the Baptist churches where they served in music ministry and Bible teaching.  Her hobbies were cooking and sewing, which all her family enjoyed. Her life wisdom in the word of God will always be remembered. Her legacy quote: “You are never better than anyone else, but you are just as good as anyone else”.

A private family service will be held on February 1, at the Bartlesville Memorial Park Cemetery. If you wish to honor her, please “pass it forward”!  Do good to others. Thank you.
