Donald Ray Hannon

Donald Ray Hannon, Age 84, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2015, surrounded by his family. Donald was born April 25, 1930 in Talala, OK to Roland and Ellen Hannon. On August 2, 1949 he married the love of his life and best friend Kearl Boan. They built their family and faith together on their farm in Oologah, where he resided until the Lord called him home. Donald and Kearl had 3 children, Billy Hannon, Brenda Sue Hannon Gay, and Benny Hannon. Donald was a true man of God, he loved and lived for the Lord. He was a member of the Rabbs Creek Baptist Church located in Talala. Donald enjoyed raising cattle alongside his two sons, spending his summers in the hay field, tending to his garden with his wife Kearl and spending time with his grandchildren where he kept them all thoroughly entertained with his one of a kind sense of humor.

Donald Survived by his wife of 65 years, Kearl of the home; Son Billy and wife Carol of Collinsville; Son Benny and wife Sueann of Oologah; Grandchildren: Kevin Gay, Marium Hannon, Amanda Thomas, Raymond Lofton, Tara Lofton, Alan Reed, Jason Dudley, Debbie Wooten, Sandy Crain, Sharon Looper, Karen Bradley, and Paul Bradley. A number of great and great-great grandchildren; Sister Dorothy Keel; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Ellen Hannon; daughter Sue Gay; siblings; Anna Plumer, Ernest Hannon, Reta Laughlin, and Emma Harris;

The family of Donald Hannon wish to express their deepest appreciation to everyone. Your concern and prayers have given our family strength during this difficult time. Visitation will be Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Rabbs Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Brian Keeth Officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Talala, OK.
