Dean Baker

Dean Baker of Tulsa, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home in Talala. Dean was born on July 26, 1944 in Tulsa, OK to Virgil Lee and Betty Ann (Redfern) Baker. He was a lifelong resident of the Tulsa area. He worked for many years as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union #523. Dean owned and operated ComCable, and worked as a Network Cabling Engineer until his retirement. He was known as a hard worker and took pride in his job. Dean enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandkids. He will be missed dearly.

Dean is survived by his wife Opal Baker of the home; his daughter Susie Adkins and husband Larry of Talala; his sister Nancy Ann Baker; his brother, Sam Baker; 3 grandchildren, Todd Adkins and wife Jessica, Derrick Adkins, and Alicia Hicks and husband Josh; 1 great grandchild, Kota Hicks. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Cory Dean Baker, and his brother, Virgil Baker.

A Graveside Service will be held on 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Woodland Memorial Park, 1200 N Cleveland Ave, Sand Springs, OK with David Priest officiating. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111.
