Plunk, David Eugene 56 of Collinsville, Oklahoma passed away June 27th, 2009.
David was born in Liberal, Kansas, April 2nd 1953 to Willard and Joan Plunk, who preceded him in death. Following high school David began his journey to become a master machinist. Beginning his career in the Tulsa area at Arrow Trucking, later moving to Gear Products before joining Baker Oil Tools in Broken Arrow in 1998 where he was employed at the time of his death.
David’s love of the outdoors and working with his hands led to many enjoyable days working in the gardens and yard of his Collinsville home.
David’s legacy is his unwavering support of friends and family. Always ready to lend a hand, provide a supportive word or quietly help anyone who needed it. Strong in his faith, his actions demonstrated his desire to live as Jesus, our savior, would.
He is survived by his wife Linda Plunk of Collinsville, 3 children David Augustus Plunk, Amber Shanks, and Megan Shanks of Collinsville. David is also survived by sister Terry Adams and her husband Dave of Wagoner, sister Sandee Shaw and her husband Rob of Sapulpa, sister Judy Lakey and her husband Jim of Sapulpa. David was preceded in death by sister, Lynnette Plunk of Tulsa. David also enjoyed his time with his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Meadowcreek United Methodist Church in Collinsville on July 2nd at 10am, followed by graveside services at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
