David Arthur Inglee

February 5, 1958 — September 4, 2025

David Arthur Inglee, 67, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones on September 4th, 2025. A memorial service will take place at Collinsville Church of Christ on September 12th, 2025, at 4 p.m.

Born in Bay Shore, New York on February 5th, 1958, David grew up in Babylon, New York where he was very active in motocross and his local Boy Scout troop. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University in Pennsylvania with which he moved to work in Oklahoma as a Sales Engineer for Torrington Bearings. There, he met the love of his life, Lisa Day, with whom he was blessed with 41 years of marriage and 3 children.

In his early thirties, David was diagnosed with Friedrich’s Ataxia and became disabled. In the decades that followed, he found great joy in defying his disease’s limitations and teaching and inspiring others, young and old, in the schools, churches, scout troops, and other community groups in the Tulsa area.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Faucet Inglee and Lillian Lang Inglee Wilbur, and by his brother, Clinton Arthur Inglee. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Day Inglee, his children, Rebecca Cobbs and her husband Jeff, David “Alden” Inglee and his wife, Izzy, and Parker Inglee and his wife Danae. David is also survived by his stepbrothers, Bob Wilbur and Jeff Wilbur, as well as his eight grandchildren, Jeffrey “Blake”, Barrett, and Reese Cobbs, Theodore and Lillian Inglee, and Caleb, Benaiah, and Everett Inglee.

David will be remembered for his unimpeded joy in trials that brought hope to many, for his adventurous spirit that brought him to paintball fields unable to duck for cover, to soccer fields unable to kick a ball, and into pools and oceans long after most doubted his ability to swim. Few failed to notice his remarkable intellect and wit, but most of all, he would want to be remembered for his immeasurable love for his bride and for his unwavering hope in his Savior.

His wishes were that his life could further FA research, so the family asks for donations to FARA - Friedrich's Ataxia Research Alliance in lieu of flowers: https://www.curefa.org/donate/
