David graduated from Oologah High School in 1961 and enlisted in the Army. In the Army he learned his trade of dental lab technician. After his tour of duty ended, he returned to his home state where he met and married the love of his life. He opened his first dental lab in Tulsa in 1968 and continued to work in the industry until his retirement in 2018. During his career he employed and trained many lab technicians (including many family members), providing them with a permanent career path.
In addition to running a successful dental lab, David farmed 80 acres just north of Collinsville and enjoyed rebuilding classic cars. He loved family gatherings, listening with joy to the musical jam sessions that often occurred.
Post-retirement, David enjoyed a slower lifestyle with Beverly. He loved going to Neil’s gigs around town, as well as watching Gunsmoke from the comfort of his favorite chair.
