Darren O'Neal Johnson of Owasso, Oklahoma, just 57 years old, died unexpectedly on
December 12, 2021 from a heart attack while hospitalized with Covid pneumonia. The family is deeply sorrowful but strong in their faith that they will be reunited again with him in heaven.
Darren was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduated from Memorial High School, attended
Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and lived and worked in the greater Tulsa Area all of his life.
Darren was a career journeyman plumber both commercial and residential; an avid golfer, Cowboys fan (OSU and Dallas), made a mean steak on the grill and would talk smack about any sport on TV.
But his greatest accomplishment, most beloved pastime and true passion was being a husband, dad, papa, mentor, coach, cheerleader and friend.
All who knew Darren were touched by his easy going personality, humor and willingness to help others.
Darren was preceded in death by his father, Troy and his oldest daughter Taylor. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; his wife, Amy; three children, Ashley, Hailey, Christian; five grandchildren, Gabriella, Gialana, Natalee, Jett and Colton, all of Owasso; a very large extended family and many friends.
We will all miss him more than we have the ability to express.
You are invited to share in celebrating Darren’s life at a memorial service to be held on
Saturday, January 8th, 12:00 PM at Carbondale Assembly of God Church, 2135 W 51st Street, Tulsa 74107.
