Dana Frances Howard

Dana Frances Crutchfield Howard, age 67, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 10, 1956 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Mary Frances Pratt Crutchfield and Jimmy Crutchfield.

She moved to Collinsville at a young age and graduated from Collinsville High School in 1974. She married Ken, the love of her life, on May 18, 1974. Together, they raised three children: Justin, Jayme, and Joel. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Collinsville. Dana was a devoted wife and mother but loved being “Granny” even more. She enjoyed traveling with Ken on many trips and vacations, especially to the beach and Washington DC. She loved snow skiing, going to the lake, visiting the beach, attending an occasional fly-in, listening to the Eagles, cooking, tailgating, and sewing. However, her favorite place to be was in the stands cheering on her grands. She considered the first garden tomato of the season a holiday. Dana treasured living in Collinsville and was very invested in her community. She was proud to raise her children in Collinsville. She was one of the biggest Cardinal fans in town and attended many games, events, and fundraisers. She sewed many bags, quilts, and other items that were donated to fundraisers. She also loved to cook and happily took requests from her family and friends. Two of her most popular items were her crustless cheesecakes and chocolate sheet cakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Jim as well as her mother and father in law Carlton and Florence Howard. She is also preceded in death a brother in law Gary Howard.

She is survived by her husband, Ken, her son Justin (Tara), daughter Jayme (Cody), and son Joel (Haley) as well as her grandchildren Cannon, Aspen, Peyton, Lily, Hank, and Ashlyn. She is also survived by her brothers Jay Crutchfield (Julie) and Blake West (Ashley), sisters Susan (David) Lassiter, Chrysti (Michael) Ramsey, sister in law Carleeta Howard as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins she adored.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Collinsville Education Foundation in her memory at PO Box 66, Collinsville, OK 74021.

Visitation will be at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 19 from 12pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be 10am on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at First Baptist Church Collinsville with Dr. Tim Prock officiating. Internment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK.

Service are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
