Dale Deville Schaffner, Jr.

Dale Deville Schaffner, Jr., 73, formerly of Collinsville, OK passed away, Monday, August 23, 2010 in Tulsa, OK. He was born January 4, 1937 in Brockway, Pennsylvania to Dale Deville Schaffner, Sr. and the former Kathleen McCaully. He was a longtime resident of Collinsville before moving to Big Cabin, OK in 2000. He was a member of the V.F.W. post in Pryor and was a volunteer fireman in Collinsville. He retired from American Airlines after 35 years of service. He was a Supervisor.
He is survived by: 2 sons, Dale “Rowdy” Deville Schaffner, III and his wife Shelley of Collinsville, OK and Bryan Keith Schaffner and his wife Michelle of Owasso, OK. 2 daughters: Mary Kathleen Schaffner and her husband Mike of Owasso, OK and Shelly Lynn Schaffner of Big Cabin, OK. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Kathy, Zachary, Amber, Bryant, Meyada, Whitney, Heather, Samuel, Daniel, Nathan, Desiree and Curtis, and 1 great-grandchild: Hayden.
He is also survived by 2 sisters: Hellen McMackin and Mayrue Hutchinson and her husband Fred.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce and a sister, Joanne Truesdale.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, at the Baptist Tabernacle Church of Collinsville with Rev. Gary Cate officiating.
