It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Curt Roy Tony McElhoe, who passed away on February 10, 2025. Born on February 5, 1963, at Fort Sill Army Base, Curt’s journey in life took him from the classrooms of Collinsville High School in Oklahoma to a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles.
As a young boy, Curt had many cherished memories of spending time with his family in Germany. These early years shaped him in ways that stayed with him throughout his life, grounding him with a deep sense of family and adventure.
From an early age, Curt developed a love for working on vehicles, starting with bodywork and painting during his high school years. His passion quickly grew into a successful career, where his talent and dedication earned him numerous accolades, including five awards in a single year at the Darryl Starbird Rod and Custom Show. Curt's expertise in custom paint and bodywork led to the opening of his own shop, where he built a reputation for excellence, tackling any project with skill and determination.
Beyond his work, Curt found joy in the simple pleasures of life—taking motorcycle trips, sharing moments with friends and family, and enjoying the beauty of the world around him. He had a special bond with his mother, Helga, and every Saturday morning, the two would meet at Karen's Country Kitchen to share breakfast and memories, honoring the memory of Curt’s late father, Glenn McElhoe.
Curt was preceded in death by his father, Glenn McElhoe. He leaves behind his loving mother, Helga McElhoe; his sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Ken Bannon; his niece and her husband, Dorothy and Chance Swanda; and his great-niece and great-nephew, Peyton and Pacey.
Curt's legacy of kindness, skill, and love for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
