Coweta "Tweedie" Mae Schmeisser

Coweta Mae “Tweedie” Wilkinson Schmeisser of Vera, Ok passed away on Sunday, February 19th, 2023, in Claremore, Ok at the age of 91. Tweedie was born on December 28th, 1931, in Vera to Thomas G. Wilkinson and Alice Storts Wilkinson. Tweedie married Melvin M, Mathews on August 6th, 1954; He preceded her in death on February 10th, 1987. She later married Earl C. Schmeisser on May 25th, 1995, and they remained together until Earl’s passing on Oct 9th, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her Parent’s, husbands, and siblings:  Melva Rackers, Juanita Beeson, Oleta Taylor, Venita Howland, Winona McCoy, and Jack Wilkinson.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Prock officiating.

Tweedie is survived by 2 sons by marriage, Cory Schmeisser (Elizabeth) and Jeffrey Schmeisser (Tanya); 3 grandchildren, Cole Schmeisser, Curtis Schmeisser, and Melody Turpin (Bobby); 3 great-grandchildren, Kylie Marshall, Robert Turpin, and Serenity Turpin as well a niece and nephews: Cleta Rackers, Mike Rackers, Greg Rackers, Gary Rackers and Mark Rackers

Tweedie loved her Farm and animals where she spent most of her time. She worked for McDonnell Douglas for 40 years as a mail clerk and secretary, retiring in 1987.  She loved driving fast cars & motorcycles, traveling, Fishing and spending time with her family.  She was a beloved member of the communities of Collinsville and Vera and she will be truly missed.
