In the warm embrace of family and friends, we remember and celebrate the beautiful life of Connie Rhoades Parrish Slack, who peacefully departed this world on June 17, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with many illnesses. Born on August 13, 1942, in Littlefield, TX, to Hub and Lela Sisco, Connie was a beacon of love and kindness who touched the lives of many with her unwavering faith, generosity, and compassion. Connie was the cherished daughter, adopted by John and Lillian Rhoades, who predeceased her, alongside her beloved sisters Debby, Donna, and Shirley, and her great-grandson Roman. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by her devoted children: daughter Tana Freeman and her husband Faron of Holden, LA; son Matthew Slack and his wife Judy of Williamsburg, VA; daughter Stacye Monholland and her husband Casey of Coweta, OK; and son Johnny Parrish and his wife Tammy of Oologah, OK. Connie is also lovingly remembered by her sister Faye Griffin and her husband Ruben, and her brother Herbert Sisco and his wife Helen. Connie's legacy lives on in her treasured grandchildren: Brittani Beaver and Michael, Caitlyn Freeman and Alan, Jeff and Amy Zickefoose, Jeremy and Amber Zickefoose, Garrett Freeman and Brittany, Autumn and Trenton Gibson, Rachel Beaver and Chris, Abby and Vanessa Parrish, Jillian Monholland, Parker Slack, Emily Slack, and Charlie Slack. Her great-grandchildren Ariel, Anna, Perry, Trenton, Edward, Austin, Tanner, Ryder, Alice, and Adeline, will forever hold fond memories of their Granny. Connie's journey of love began when she married Eugene Parrish on February 12, 1959, in Baton Rouge, LA. Together, they welcomed three children before parting ways in March of 1981. She found love once more with Mathew Slack in 1982, together building a life in Oologah, Oklahoma, until Mathew's passing in 2010, having shared 28 years of marriage. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Connie earned her GED and worked as a bookkeeper for their service station and later for Montgomery Ward. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, as an active member of the Word Outreach Center Church, where she found joy in worship and sharing that love with her grandchildren. Connie was a gifted artisan, her hands deftly weaving love into every stitch. From sewing wedding dresses for her daughters and making summer dresses for the grandkids to crafting crochet booties and knit hats for her children, her creations were a labor of love. Among her many talents, she crocheted a magnificent 4 ft x 6 ft Lord's Prayer for her church, a testament to her faith and skill. Her green thumb thrived in nurturing African violets, earning ribbons at the county fair. Above all, Connie was a caregiver, a role she embraced wholeheartedly, tending to her parents, Aunt Alice, and her best friend, affectionately known as Thelma and Louise. Her heart was open to all, especially children and animals, who she adored and cared for as if they were her own. Many fondly remember her as "Momma Two," a testament to her nurturing spirit. Connie possessed a gift for making everyone feel welcome, her warm and generous nature leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

A service to honor and celebrate Connie's life will be held on June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, located at 1302 West Main St., Collinsville, OK. As we gather to remember Connie, we celebrate a life lived with grace, love, and unwavering faith. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
