Clyde Lee Hollenbeck, Sr, 67, of Scammon, KS passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Joplin, MO. He was born in Tulsa, OK on November 11, 1954 to Leland Marion Hollenbeck and the Former Betty Louise Newport.  He married Glenda Raye Barrett on June 3 rd , 1977 at the Community Church in Collinsville, OK.  They had 3 son’s,  Clyde Jr, Lee and Bryan.  They lived in Tulsa for a short while then moved back to Collinsville, where they lived a majority of their life.  Clyde and Glenda were married for 35 years until we lost her to colon cancer on December 8 th , 2012.  Clyde never left Glenda’s side.  His goal was to celebrate life with Glenda and they did by checking off many things on her bucket list.  Clyde and Glenda had an amazing marriage and truly loved their family.

Clyde then took turns living with his son’s Jr and Bryan, he shared that he would just take turns until one got tired of him… he was lost... Thank the Lord he reconnected with an old friend from his very young years and fell in love!  Clyde and Jane Young were married September 14 th , 2019.  They lived in Scammon, KS for the duration of their marriage.  Clyde’s family grew with the addition of children and grandchildren and he loved each one of them.  Jane has been a blessing to Clyde and to his family, he needed his plus 1 to share his life with.

Clyde was an amazing man that won his battle with cancer and survived a couple heart attacks.  He was hard and set in his ways but over the years he became a bit softer.  He cherished family and lived life. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, Baseball and Fantasy Football. He also loved the lake and fishing! Clyde had been a truck driver all his life.
