Claud Ronald Gillespie

Claud Ronald Gillespie, 73, of Collinsville, OK passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Tulsa, OK. He was born May 30, 1935 in Collinsville, OK to Claude Randall and Edna L.(Kramer) Gillespie. He was a lifelong resident of Collinsville. Claud married Marie Evans on December 12, 1964. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, a member of the American Legion Post #2, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3077, Disabled American Veterans and the Collinsville Masonic Lodge #165. He enjoyed being with family and friends and was an avid animal lover, having trained military dogs while serving in the Army in Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Gillespie of the home; 1 son: Billy Gillepsie and his wife Leslie of Collinsville; 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Brothers and sisters, Dorothy Clark of Tulsa, Fred Gillespie and his wife Wennie of Broken Arrow, George Gillespie and his wife Pat of Broken Arrow, and Reba Groblebe and her husband Lane of Seagoville, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 Brother, Don Gillespie; 3 Daughters; Ginger Douglas, Susy Todd, Gail Ashbrook.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Collinsville with Rev. Hermon Wood officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 to 6:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
