Charles Richard Peay

Charles Richard Peay, 88, formerly of Sands Springs, OK, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 in Claremore, OK. He was born September 4, 1920 in Collinsville, OK to Homer and Gracia Peay. He had lived most of his life in this area. He served his country in the Navy during WWII and served aboard the USS Maryland. He was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and the Last Man’s Club.
He is survived by 2 children: Dale R. Peay and his wife Jana of Olive Branch, MS and Donna G. Rice of Sand Springs. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Georgie, 2 sons: Darrell Brent Peay and David Allen Peay.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in the Chapel at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Helmer Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
