Charles Lee Hicks

September 12, 1927 — March 19, 2016

Charles Lee Hicks, 88, formerly of Oologah, OK, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Webster, TX. He was born September 12, 1927 in Westville, OK to Charles Edward and Lela Loti (Wilkie) Hicks.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at A Healing Touch Ministry with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Mr. Hicks had lived in Oologah since 1982 before moving to Alvin, TX in 2013. He was a member of the A Healing Touch Ministry for many years. He served in the U.S. Army for 8 years during the Korean War. He later worked for and retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1992. He loved animals and enjoyed a good game of dominos. He also enjoyed feeding the seagulls in Galveston, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Hicks of the home, 2 children: Jimmy Charles Hicks of Palmdale, CA and Kacina Spruell and her husband Charles Gorby of Alvin, TX. 1 brother: Billy Joe Hicks and his wife Donna Marie of Kansas, City, MO. 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: Glenda Fern Hicks, and 2 brothers: Everett Hicks and Robert Lewis Hicks.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
