Catherine Smaligo

CATHERINE “KATE” SMALIGO, 85, of Collinsville, Oklahoma passed away June 17, 2006. She was born on September 25, 1920 to Gabriel and Margaret Henry in Chicago, Illinois.

Catherine, having moved from Chicago, lived in the Collinsville area for 73 years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Collinsville, and belonged to the Alter Society of St. Therese and the Prayer Chain.

Catherine is survived by 1 daughter, Myrtle Dill and her Husband Dan of Weatherford, OK; 2 sons, John Smaligo and his wife Wilma of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Norman Smaligo and his wife Randa of Pryor, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Harold “Dick” Henry of Bixby, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Smaligo, and her daughter, Catherine Marie Cooney.

Visitation for Catherine will be held 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2006 and 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Collinsville Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 in the Collinsville Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso, Oklahoma. Under the direction of Collinsville Funeral Home, 918-371-2111.
